Begin at bowiestate.edu > Click "Library" > Click "E-Resources" > Click "A-Z Databases" > Click the letter "K" from the list > Navigate to the Kanopy Homepage

To request a title from Kanopy, go to the search bar and type the title you are looking for. The screen will say your search for "insert title here" did not have any matches. Click the "Request Access" Tab next to "In Collection" and a form will come up for you to submit to the Library for review. Please note: Thurgood Marshall Library purchases titles for faculty only. If you are a student looking to access a Kanopy video needed for class, please reach out to your professor. 

To make Kanopy available off-campus, simply include the university's proxy link. This will automatically redirect users to the log-in page where they will enter their 14-digit LIB# in the box that asks for their ID number/barcode, and type their last name into the Password box. The proxy link address is: https://proxy-bs.researchport.umd.edu/login?url=

Step one: Add the proxy link- https://proxy-bs.researchport.umd.edu/login?url=

Step two: Find the URL for the title you would like to link to. Make sure to double click the search bar so your link includes https:// if it doesn't, the URL will not work- https://bowiestate.kanopy.com/video/scottsboro-american-tragedy

Step three: Add the URL for the title after the proxy link- https://proxy-bs.researchport.umd.edu/login?url=https://bowiestate.kanopy.com/video/scottsboro-american-tragedy

Step four: Copy the link and use as needed!

There are two ways to see which videos we have in our collection. Thumbnails of videos populate the homepage; these are videos currently in our collection. We also keep a running list of titles in our collection with their expiration dates. See "Current Titles in the BSU Kanopy Collection" below for a list of titles with their expiration dates:
