The Printz Award was named for former school librarian, Econo-Clad marketing consultant YALSA member, Michael Printz. Awarded annually to honor the best book written for teens, based on literary merit. In addition, the Printz Committee names up to four honor books, which also represent the best writing in young adult literature.
