How do I move references from the EBSCO database into RefWorks?
EBSCO is an online research database platform that provides access to 39 academic databases available in the A-Z databases through BSU Discovery.
Steps to export and import references in EBSCO to RefWorks are as follows:
1. At the BSU Discovery webpage, click A-Z DATABASES above the search box.
2. In the All Vendors/Providers search box (third), click the down arrow, scroll down and click EBSCO (39).
3. Choose the database you want to use. For this exercise, click Academic Search Ultimate.
4. Click Choose Databases above the search box.
5. Click the databases you want to use and click the OK button. To select all, click the Select/deselect all box above the OK button.
6. Type your search string in the search box and click Search.
7. You want to cite the article, Unlocking the Truth: Exploring the Impacts of Solitary Confinement on Recidivism and the Need for Mental Health Support for Individuals with Mental Illnesses, click the title.
8. Click Cite
9. In the Citation Format box, scroll down to view the nine citation style formats. Click Export in the Tools column.
10. Click Direct Export to RefWorks, and then click SAVE
11. Click Import.
12. Your citation was successfully imported in RefWorks. Click Go to Last Imported.
13. Click the box on the left of the name of the document. Click Create Bibliography.
14. Click Create Bibliography again
15. You can choose the citation style format by clicking the down arrow in the box below Bibliography from Selected reference (1). Click the Copy to Clipboard box.
16. Paste the citation in your document.
