How do I move references from the SAGE database into RefWorks?
SAGE is a private and independent American academic publishing company that provides a robust digital collection of social and behavioral sciences materials to the academic community. Through BSU Discovery, users have access to 17 academic disciplines through SAGE Journals, SAGE Business Complete Collection, SAGE Research Methods-Videos and SAGE Research Methods Core.
Steps to export and import references in SAGE to RefWorks are as follows:
1. At the BSU Discovery webpage, click A-Z DATABASES above the search box.
2. In the Search for Databases box (fourth), type in SAGE and click Go.
3. Choose the database you want to use. For this exercise, click SAGE Journals.
4. Type in your search string and click the magnifying glass.
5. Click the title of the article.
6. Click Cite article.
7. Click the down arrow key and click RefWorks in the box below, Select your citation manager software. Then click Download Citation.
8. Click the Submit Data to RefWorks blue box.
9. Click the Import blue box.
10. Click Go to Last Imported.
11. Click the box before the title of the article, and then click Create Bibliography.
12. Click Create Bibliography a second time.
13. Click the citation style format by clicking the down arrow key in the box below, Bibliography from selected reference (1). Then click the Copy to clipboard blue box.
14. Paste the citation in your research paper.
