Newspapers are tremendously useful for biographical research. You'll find articles and obituaries on famous and obscure people from all walks of life. For example, in the LexisNexis database, this search for:
"steve jobs" AND obituary
retrieved articles with biographical details from newspapers and magazines all over the world, including the United States, Canada, Costa Rica, England, Wales, and so forth.
Printing in the library is free but, because it's free, it comes with some limitations. Every student gets 70 printed pages per week and ALL printing is double sided. You can see staff at the circulation desk if you have any issues or problems printing.
Successful searching in a database is NOT like a doing a Google search.
Use this LibGuide - Keyword Searching in Library Databases (see link below) - to learn a few basic tips and strategies to finding exactly what you need in a database. The guide features a two-part video power point presentation with voice-over audio.
